Silver Cross to fund groundbreaking research into recurrent miscarriage and preterm birth

The UK’s leading manufacturer of high quality prams and nursery equipment, Silver Cross has agreed a philanthropic partnership with Professor Winston’s medical research Charity, Genesis Research Trust. Two Silver Cross Bursaries will enable leading scientists at the Wolfson and Weston Institute for Family Health to undertake two major new studies into the prediction of early preterm birth and to find markers in the lining of the womb to predict adverse pregnancy outcomes before birth.
Fern Britton saddles up to support Robert Winston’s Charity Cycle Challenge

TV presenter and patron of Genesis Research Trust, Fern Britton has completed four overseas women only cycling challenges in Egypt, India, Cuba and Jordan. This amazing lady is about to join a group of very special women on her next ride to China this year. But she won’t be hanging up her helmet for long, as she will be heading for the next Women for Women cycle challenge to Vietnam and Cambodia in 2011.

World leading scientist, professor, broadcaster and author, Lord (Robert) Winston has unveiled an exciting new look to the prestigious Institute of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Trust (IOGT) of which he is chairman. Its new name is now Genesis Research Trust (with a strap line: science for the health of women and babies) and its logo is depicted at the top of this page.
