The Institute of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Trust (IOGT), promoting better health for women and babies

Despite countless breakthroughs in medical science we still do not understand why some pregnancies will end in tragedy. For most of us, having a child of our own is the most fulfilling experience of our lives.

All of us can imagine the desperation and sadness of parents who lose a baby, and the life-shattering impact that a disabled or seriously ill child has on a family.

The IOGT bring together the largest team of doctors and scientists in the UK

The Institute of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Trust brings together the largest team of doctors and scientists in the UK to improve the health of women and babies.

The Institute of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Hammersmith and Queen Charlotte's Hospital, has promoted more obstetricians and gynaecologists to professorial chairs around the world than any other British unit.

Postgraduate teaching

Its postgraduate teaching programme is internationally famous, and more postgraduate degrees have been gained from the Institute than from any other British obstetric and gynaecological department.
